I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Cultural Communication from Lisbon’s Universidade Católica Portuguesa, one of the world’s top universities.
After spending three years in Ireland – where I obtained Cambridge’s Certificate of Proficiency in English – I returned to Portugal to study for a Postgraduate Certificate in Translation at Universidade de Lisboa.
Nowadays, I’m highly committed to continuing professional development (CPD) and I regularly attend courses, workshops, webinars and conferences related to translation, my languages and areas of specialisation.
I also make sure I attend at least one professional conference every year. In May 2014, for instance, I’m flying to Budapest, Hungary, to attend the BP14, an international conference for freelance translators and interpreters.
You can keep up with my constantly developing CPD record here.
